The flagship project
In early 2023, GazOne embarked on a three-year project to build the largest gas storage and transshipment facility in Uzbekistan, with a total capacity of 4,000 metric tonnes and state-of-the-art computerised systems engineered to international ASTM standards. The project is delivered in two phases of 2,000 tons each.
GazOne purchased a twelve-hectare site in Hovos after completing land due diligence and regulatory compliance, meeting all environmental and safety standards. Project reports, the FEED study and local planning and construction permits have been in process since autumn 2023, and in Q1 2024 the company broke ground on the railway expansion from the nearby main-line junction to the site.
Financing and timeline
The project carries a total gross development value of USD $20M and is financed entirely by its stakeholders. As of June 2026, USD $8M in cash had been deployed — all generated organically by bootstrapping GazOne's month-on-month profits from its B2B and B2C sales. Commercial operations at the site are expected in Q2–Q3 2027.
